Rubin Kazan tracking down Super Lig stars http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stjepan-Tomas-c34240
Stjepan Tomas has revealed that Rubin Kazan are planning to sign Turkish Super Lig players, Servet Cetin and Burak Yilmaz, in the upcoming winter transfer window.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Trabzonspor-c40759 striker, Yilmaz, has made a scintillating start to life at Hüseyin Avni Aker, scoring 35 goals in his 49 appearances for the Turkish outfit. The Turkish national is enjoying the form of his life and it looks like there’s
plenty more to come from his side in the coming years.
Tomas gave his opinion on why Yilmaz is rated amongst the top European footballers.
“Yilmaz is a great talent and he can score fantastic goals but I do not expect him to leave his homeland for Russia.
"Ruby are following dozens of European players but it is not necessary that they are ready to leave their respective clubs.” The former Galatasaray player was quoted as saying.
Rubin have been credited with a firm interest in the striker, with Berdyev reported to bolster his attacking ranks at Tsentralnyi Stadion. However, Tomas sees little possibility of the former Besiktas striker leaving the Turkish
outfit.
The fact that Rubin are struggling in defence and their veteran defender, Christian Ansaldi, is seemingly likely to leave the Russian outfit has alarmed the gaffer, who is looking for replacements.
Reports in Russia suggest that Rubin head coach, Kurban Berdyev, is a long time admirer of Galatasaray centre back, Servet Cetin, and will step up the pursuit to sign the promising stopper in the winter transfer window.
“I have a lot of respect for Servet, but as far as I know Ruby will never go for his transfer. He is more than thirty years old, and this is not the best age for a first in my life moving to a new country.” The Turkish Cup winner
concluded.
The Croatian national is of the opinion that Rubin are lacking confidence at the moment, following their poor start to Russian Premier League campaign this season and they need to sign top-class talent to alter the results.
Tomas revealed that Rubin need to claim a decent spot on the league table before the winter break if they are to attract any star player in the upcoming transfer window.
The second round of the league has turned out to be much better for the Tatary as compared to the first round. As things stand Rubin are at sixth spot on the league table.
Rubin will host third-placed Dynamo Moscow in the upcoming crunch league encounter on the back of a 2-1 victory over CSKA Moscow at Luzhniki stadium last Friday. The Croatian national tipped the Russian outfit to stretch their
good league run.
