Rubin had failed to win the cup tournament previously, after suffering a 1-0 defeat against CSKA Moscow at Arena Khimki.
In the aftermath of the outcome, Vyacheslav Bulavin has admitted that the Tatary were on top of their game against the Moscow-based club, and credited the entire team for making it possible despite series of disappointed league
results.
After their land mark win against the Louders, the Kamni have qualified for the UEFA Europa League this season. Though, Rubin are having a poor third league round, having failed to register a win from their last five league matches,
the Russian outfit has turned the tables after winning a trophy this season.
Rubin have now recorded their fourth win against the Dinamiki out of the total five matches played in all competition this season. Bulavin hailed Rubin, admitting that the Tatary were the better side on the pitch, and they deserved
to get a positive result against the White-blues.
“In my opinion, Rubin were more worthy of victory as compared to Dynamo. Kazan looked better in the organization of the game. This relates primarily to the middle line and defence. Though Rubin and the Dynamo showed tremendous
will power and the desire to win but ultimately one team have to lose to another.” The former Zenit St. Petersburg manager was quoted as saying.
The former FC TVMK Tallinn boss went on to praise Rubin’s long serving manager, Kurban Berdyev, admitting that the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Rostov-c39192 head coach fulfilled the promise he made to the fans.
“Berdyev defeated the opponent by making up a tactical plan. A lot of the team attack was carried out by the flanks, which troubled the opposition’s defence.” Bulavin concluded.
