Question:

Rude Abercrombie & Fitch employees?

Whenever I go to Abercrombie & Fitch, I seem to be greeted by some not-so-friendly employees. They have said rude and embarassing things to me, and I think that is just because I am short for my age and all, and in that sense, appear younger than I actually am. Facially, I do NOT think I look around the age of, say, 10. I'm 13, but I am in fact, and I admit it, the size of some 10 year olds. Once when I went into the store, I was with my friend (who also happens to be quite short like me) and at first everything seemed fine. The people working there seemed, at first. The two of us were just happily looking through some knit tops stacked nicely around a circular table. Then, my friend said that she wanted to take look over 'there' and she was pointing to an area on the other side of the store, where the clearance items were located. I continued looking through the knit tops. Then, after about a minute, she came back and told me what had happened. She said that while she was looking through the clearance section, an employee folding jeans beside her had said "Umm..you know we have a kids' store, right??" She said she nodded slightly, embarassed, and walked away. I was shocked to hear her story. And of course I knew they had a kids' store! I had been there many times, actually! But I could fit into Abercrombie & Fitch too, since I could fit into Hollister.

Actually, we've experienced this twice. The last time we went into Abercrombie & Fitch, we were hoping that the certain employee who confronted her last time wouldn't be on his shift today. So, we walked slowlyy into the store. Two employees, a man and a woman, greeted us with a smile when we walked in. The woman said hello, smiled again, we smiled slightly backed, and walked on. After walking forward a few steps the man picked up a bottle of perfume, and, spraying a little in front of him, said "Hannah Montana rules!!!" I heard the woman give a little laugh. We were totally embarassed, and, again, shocked at the rudeness of the employees. We don't like Hannah Montana! We're not little kids! I was upset at the thought of what had just happened. I wondered, were all their employees like this??

Has anyone here and any similar experiences in Abercrombie & Fitch?? Because, I mean, every other store we go to, the employees are so kind and helpful. Never, in other store, have we had this issue arise among us.

  1. Her question is that if anyone has ever experienced something like this in Abercrombie. Gosh. Read it through.

  2. you should write a novel.

  3. i've honestly never been into abercrombie or hollister i avoid those stores because i hate their clothes and everything is too plain in their anyway their clothes arent creative or anything ..but back on topic ive never been in there so i cant tell u about my expierences but it does seem mean of them to make fun of ur height (maybe u should just stick with hollister since u love that store or shop somewhere else but if u really want to still go their dont let them make fun of you take charge (they arent better than u ) so just stand ur ground and maybe they'll get the hint that their comments arent funny...

  4. They sound really immature and unprofessional. Next time they make a smart remark about your age, note the employee's name and ask to speak to the manager. Let the manager know what was said to you and who said and also let them know that this is not the first time this has occurred. Make sure you get the managers name as well and let it be known that you will make a complaint to headquarters if it continues. If you have to take it that far, remember names, dates and  the store location(s).

  5. 1 What's your question

    2 Calm Down!

  6. It doesn't sound like they were being rude at all...How tall are you? Just curious.

  7. i haven't the foggiest on whats your question but i agree if that's what you want me to say or down with the man i think was another possibility you were kinda all over the place and then i started skimming something about hanna Montana but yeah ambercrombie is rude

  8. That never happened to me before, but I feel sympathy for you. Next time they say something about you/your friend like that just tell them that you're 13 and HATE Hannah Montana! (I hate Hannah Montana, also.) Don't let them be rude to you. If they continue to (the same people mainly) find the manager by asking another employee and tell them. They'll get in trouble.

  9. you need to realize that even though they are working there and represent the store they are also just regular teenagers, and who hasnt been made fun of by someone older who thinks they are better?

  10. I used to work at Abercrombie and yes, i worked with a bunch of douche bags. :) Don't worry sweetie.. they are just kids who are getting paid 6.25 an hour to get discounts and make themselves feel special.
