Evian TG FC will play host to LOSC on Saturday with both sides in dire need of a victory. Lille are coming on the back of an impressive win over Toulouse in Coupe de la Ligue and coach, Rudi Garcia is hoping for similar kind of performance from his side
this time around.
Les Dogues are currently 10th in the league with only 14 points on the table after 10 games, and a victory away from home is what Lille need at the moment.
While talking to reporters, the Lille coach stated that his side cannot afford to lose this game after playing so well against Toulouse in midweek. Evian TG are a tough team and Garcia has warned his players of taking the hosts lightly.
The 48-year-old added that every game is important in the league and taking Les Croix de Savoie easy would be a mistake. Lille are in confident mood ahead of Saturday’s game and the Frenchman is eying all three points on the road.
"No game is easy, no game is won in advance and we need to continue to show a quality game and a mindset that is ours now and we can do with the results.”
Praising his players for their Coupe de la Ligue win over TFC, Garcia said that it was a professional performance from Les Dogues and every player played his part on the pitch. However, the coach feels that Lille need to work on their finishing and they
need to score more goals in the upcoming matches.
On a question regarding his team selection for Saturday’s match, Rudi Garcia said that several players are still on the sidelines and Evian game would be pretty tough for the 2010/2011 champions of France.
"All players give a lot and work hard but we need to be more efficient on the finish. Also, there are a lot of injured players and it is not easy but I hope it's not going to go against us."
