The 48-year-old is upbeat about Lille’s chances of getting a positive result at Parc des Sports this Saturday as LOSC Lille prepare to take on Les Croix de Savoie in the Ligue 1
The 2010/2011 champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 would be hoping to continue their fine run of form with a win against Les Roses at the weekend.
Lille put in one of their best performances of the season against Toulouse in Coupe de la Ligue, winning 1-0 in the end at Grand Stade Lille Metropole. And coach, Rudi Garcia has urged his players to continue playing like they did against TFC on Tuesday.
The Frenchman was talking to reporters at a press conference and when asked about his views about Saturday’s game against Evian TG, Garcia said that it would be a tough encounter between the two sides at Parc des Sports.
Evian’s last league match against Sochaux was postponed and the former Saint-Etienne coach feels that it would benefit the hosts as they will be in a better shape for Saturday’s clash.
"We know that the table isn't entirely accurate because Evian TG didn't play Sochaux last weekend, so they will be in better shape,” the 48-year-old told reporters.
Rudi Garcia added that Lille need to continue their fine run of form and after beating Toulouse in Coupe de la Ligue, LOSC cannot afford to lose this match.
The coach said that Les Dogues need to take their chances on the pitch and lack of goals is a worrying factor for everyone at the club. However, the 48-year-old is optimistic about getting a positive result away from home and is looking forward to Saturday’s
clash.
“But the most important thing at the moment is to be in a good shape and make the most of our opportunities on the pitch,” the Frenchman added.
Talking about his starting eleven for the Evian game, the Frenchman said that it’s too early to decide who would be playing and who would be on the bench, and he will announce his starting eleven few hours prior to the kick-off.
“We will see who'll be in the starting eleven and who'll be on the bench on Saturday."
