“A point away from home is never a bad point but when you've led twice against the division's bottom club you can only be disappointed.”
The coach believes that Les Dogues became more relaxed than necessary in the second-half of the game. Thomas Ayasse scored a late into the second-half of the game for Nancy to ensure a stalemate between the two sides. The Frenchman explained the situation,
saying:
“It's a little bit our fault as well. In the second half we played ourselves into trouble by wanting to keep the ball at the back and so playing deeper and deeper.”
Garcia believes that the club now needs to focus on the Coupe de la Ligue, where the club is set to face AS Saint-Etienne in the semi-finals of the knock-out competition. The tactician feels let down with the away from home from performances of the club.
The coach said:
“We have to focus now on Tuesday's Coupe de la Ligue semi-final. The problem for us is we're not turning draws into wins, especially away, and with draws we're not advancing.”
