Les Dogues’ chances of progressing in the Champions League look slim following their second defeat of the competition in as many games

Lille coach, Rudi Garcia, is far from pleased with Les Dogues’ performance. While talking to reporters, the 48-year-old stated that LOSC were wasteful on several occasions in front of goal and failure to find the back of the net, cost Lille three valuable

Valencia on the other hand, played brilliantly with great confidence, and Garcia has admitted that the Spanish outfit was by far the better side of the two.

Rudi Garcia said that Valencia’s early goal piled pressure on LOSC, and the coach feels that players didn’t play to their potential as they are clearly lacking in confidence at the moment.
The former Saint-Etienne coach added that despite conceding an goal early, Lille didn’t play well in the second half of the game, which is really disappointing. Right-back, Mathieu Debuchy was sent off in the later stages of the game, and Rudi Garcia is
far from pleased with that.

The 48-year-old added that it was a bad night for Lille and nothing went their way. However, the coach has urged his players to forget about the Champions League for the time being, and focus on their next league game.
“It was not a good night, we have to break this cycle quickly and win a match. I hope that will happen on Saturday [against AC Ajaccio]. Big teams bounce back. Let's see if we have the quality to do that.”
