“The win is very important for the squad because we had some youngsters in the side tonight and they were a real plus."
The former Saint-Etienne coach added that qualifying for the semi-finals is indeed impressive but Les Dogues now need to get back to winning ways in the league as well, and is eying maximum points when his side take on Bastia, this time in Ligue 1.
“Qualifying for the semi-finals is impressive. Now we need to get back to winning ways in the league, starting on Sunday against the same team we played tonight."
Meanwhile, SC Bastia coach, Frederic Hantz has praised http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lille-OSC-c39800 but feels that his side could have done better on the pitch. The coach said that I Turchini weren’t consistent against Lille and the result is a fair one.
“Lille are a great team. Even though we played some good football, we weren't consistent enough. The defeat is a deserved one even though we could have done better.
However, Hantz is expecting a better performance from Bastia when they travel to Grand Stade Lille Metropole to take on Rudi Garcia’s side in their next Ligue 1 game on Saturday.
“We play Lille again on Sunday and I hope we will have learned our lessons from this elimination."
