The Lille coach has hailed the players for playing with great attitude and commitment against TFC last night that see LOSC reach the quarter final stages of Coupe de la Ligue

Thanks to a well take goal by Nolan Roux, Lille managed to nick a narrow win over the visitors
and the coach has now set his sights on going all the way in the competition.
While talking to reporters after the match, Rudi Garcia stated that it was a tough game and Toulouse made life difficult for them on the pitch. However, Lille didn’t lose hope and they kept on creating chances for which they were rewarded in the end.
The 48-year-old said that Les Dogues’ objective was to win the game and they managed to do that in the end. Lille needed extra time to score a goal and that is a worrying factor for the coach, who feels that his side should have scored earlier in the game.
"We achieved our objective, we wanted to qualify, and we did. We would have liked to do it before extra time but that's how this match was and Nolan scored a great goal.”
However, Garcia is pleased with the way his players played last night considering the recent injury crisis at Marseille. The coach added that Les Dogues are slowly getting back to their best and has asked the players to keep improving in the upcoming games.
“Despite our recent spate of injuries, we turned in a more than coherent performance tonight. Objectively, you can see we're in a positive dynamic now; the team feels good and is playing well but of course we can keep improving."
On the other hand, Toulouse coach, Alain Casanova has lamented his side’s loss at the hands of Lille and feels that TFC didn’t do enough on the pitch.
"It's tough for the lads to lose right at the end of extra time, but we had been under the cosh for a while.”
