Following the Champions League victory against BATE Borisov in Minsk, the manager has praised the club’s youngsters for their performance against the Belarusian side.

http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lille-OSC-c39800 haven’t been able to win a single Champions League game this season, but that was before last night’s game at the Stadyen Dynama. The French club triumphed against the knock-out phase hopefuls, as they defeated BATE Borisov 2-0 at their homeground.
The victory has been credited to the contribution of the team’s youngsters who gave in a fantastic performance against their rivals, and helped their team secure a victory.
The manager went on to state that:
“There were five young players starting tonight, and they completely lived up to my expectations.”
Garcia also believes that despite the fact the win wasn’t able to guarantee them anything in the European competition, but he considers it will help his side build up momentum against the upcoming game against former French champions, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127.
Les Dogues would face Les Phoceens at the Velodrome this weekend, with a point to prove as serious contenders for a European spot, if not the Championnat title.
Among the young players included in the squad for the game against Borisov were youngsters like defenders http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucas-c22528 Digne and Djibril Sidibe. Moreover, there was a change upfront, where Belgian striker, Gianni Bruno, was given a first time chance. This was the
Belgian’s first Champions League game, and he couldn’t have a better start.
Djibril Sidibe scored the opening goal for LOSC when he scored from the edge of the box to give his side the lead. Some fifteen minutes later, Bruno went on to score his first goal of the season, and what a better way to start then to score on his debut
game.
Apart from the scorers, Lucas Digne had a memorable night. The young Frenchman not only proved himself in defence, but also showed his attacking capabilities when he went past BATE’s defenders and sent in a cross that was met by Bruno’s glancing header.
Les Dogues have produced talents like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eden-Hazard-c11863 in the last decade, and the culture seems to continue in the Lille based club.
