with 29 points on the table at the end of Week 19.
Coach, Rudi Garcia has expressed his delight at the way his side played against the reigning champions but the boss feels that there is still room for improvement, keeping in mind the kind of performance Lille put out there in the second half against Rene
Girard’s side.
The 48-year-old stated that everyone at the club is pleased with the win but the need is to do more in order to get back into the top half of the table.
"We are happy to have won. There are still things we can improve, especially when you look at the way we started the second half.”
Praising his players, Garcia said that there are a lot of positives to be taken from Saturday’s game. Scoring four goals against any side in the Ligue 1 is never easy and Lille deserve credit for playing such an attacking game.
“There are positives; we scored four goals, our attackers played well, so that is good.”
The Lille boss added that although it was an impressive performance from his side, Montpellier were without several first team players that helped Lille to some extent.
“I am not forgetting that we played a Montpellier team missing many players.”
However, a win is a win and Rudi Garcia feels that ending the year in such an impressive fashion will help LOSC Lille in January, and is confident that his side will do better in the next half of the season.
“I think we can go and have a rest now with the feeling of a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 well done.
