Rudi Voller believes Bayern Munich are unbeatable this season – Bundesliga news
Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller believes that Bayern Munich are unbeatable this season, after witnessing his team’s 3-0 loss to the Bundesliga giants on Saturday.
The two teams locked horns on September 24 at Allianz-Arena, and Bayern Munich emerged triumphant with a 3-0 margin. Thomas Muller, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 were the scorers for the current league leaders.
Voller reckons that Bayern were unstoppable during the game and same has been the case throughout the ongoing season. Bayern lost to Borussia Monchengladbach in the first game of the season and are unbeaten ever since. The win over Leverkusen was Bayern’s
sixth consecutive league victory to go along with a win over Villarreal in their opening UEFA Champions League encounter.
The sporting director thinks that Jupp Heynckes’ side are capable of beating Manchester City in their upcoming Champions League game on Tuesday, September 27. The confident Bayern side will host the Citizens, who themselves are second to Manchester United
only due to an inferior goal difference. Munich won the opening game against the Yellow Submarine, while City and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 played out a draw at Etihad Stadium.
While talking to the local sports channel after Saturday’s game, the sporting director added, "You could see clearly today that we played an opponent we simply had no chance against. Bayern are simply in a class of their own. Bayern were clearly the better
team, but at least my team stood up for themselves.''
Voller stated that the Werkself or any other Bundesliga side will have to play out of their skins in order to push Bayern down the table. He reserved praise for the Bavarian unit for maintaining their levels consistently and scoring in excess of one goal
in each game.
Voller urged his side to stay focused and concentrate on finishing at least as runners-up like the last campaign. Leverkusen finished the 2010/11 season second to Borussia Dortmund and are currently 11th on the league table with 10 points from
seven games.
The Werkself will next be in action against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 on Saturday, October 1, at BayArena.
