Rudi Voller insists the German Football Association was wrong to axe Michael Ballack
Bayer Leverkusen General Manager has offered his support for midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Ballack-c25270. He claimed that what happened with Ballack was unfair and blamed the DFB for the biased behaviour. He also stated that the midfielder is fully
fit and could have been part of the German national team squad for some more years.
Die Mannschaft manager Joachim Low had revealed last month that Michael Ballack would not be in his plans in the future. He stated that the midfielder’s constant injury problems had forced him to give emerging young players a chance
to perform at the highest stage.
However, Voller criticised Low for his decision and insisted that the former Bayern Munich star still has some years left in him and he would have been of immense help to the national team for the European Championships in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032
and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983 next year.
The former Leverkusen striker claimed that Ballack is currently training with the squad and has recovered from his injury problems. The chief added that the midfielder is currently in great shape and is fully fit to start the next
season for Werkself.
Voller admitted that the former Blues midfielder will surely be disappointed with the situation after what he has done for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 in the past few years and that he is determined to perform in the upcoming campaign.
“Here in Leverkusen is the subject of the situation with DFB and Ballack. It says it all. The important thing is that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 works for us. But you can clearly see Ballack is in a different shape than for his serious injuries.
He is much fitter. You can clearly feel that he wants to show everyone. We will still have a lot of joy to him,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Michael Ballack has appeared 98 times for the national team and has scored 42 goals in his 11 years with Die Mannschaft. He joined Bayer Leverkusen from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 last summer but his maiden season was subject to constant injury problems
as he made only 20 appearances.
