Rudy g*y - NBA players who may appear on the trade scene next season (Part 1)
The National Basketball Association lockout has disrupted not just the free agents market, but also the trade speculations of the players, who didn’t declare themselves for the free agency this summer.
This doesn’t mean that the players aren’t going to be on the trade block once the lockout settles down and the lights will be turned on. Because franchises will definitely look to enhance their performances in the next season and
in order to improve teams will look to cover their deficiencies by trading away players that are either weak or disturbing the cohesion of the squad.
As there are no short of such teams that have vagueness about their rosters, so as the season will progress, fans will witness numerous trades, as mentioned above. Below is the list of the players, whom I believe will find themselves
on the trade block, whether they desire to move or not.
1. Rudy g*y
Rudy g*y, the small forward of the Memphis Grizzlies is at No. 1 in this list of players that are speculated to be on the trading block. His trade rumours were heard earlier, but the Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley snubbed the
rumours, when he repetitively said that they have no plans of trading away g*y.
However, this could change in the upcoming season, as g*y dislocated his shoulder during a regular-season game against the Philadelphia 76ers back in February this year after which the team proved that they had done well without
having the services of g*y.
The Grizzlies achieved a 46-36 record to nudge past the Houston Rockets for the 8th spot on the Western Conference standings. This made them eligible to book a berth in the 2011 playoffs. Where, Memphis knocked down
the best team in the west, San Antonio Spurs in the first-round, before they are ejected from the contention to the title by Oklahoma City Thunder in the semi-finals round.
Memphis achieved all this without their 25 year old forward, who maintains a decent scoring average of 17.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. So there is a high probability that the Grizzlies may trade him away, if they failed
to show any improvement than the previous season or if g*y’s inclusion disturbs their playing line-up.
This trade can become more certain if the Grizzlies decide to re-sign their restricted free agent Marc Gasol in the next season. Moreover, by giving up g*y, Memphis would also gain $80 million financial relief.
