Rugby, Thoughts on Sebastien Chabal?

I have heard numerous searing attacks on the big frenchman at how overrated he is and such, people just dont seem to like him because of his looks. I think hes certainly nowhere near the best pure rugby player, but d**n does he hit hard, he has great anticipation and fantastic tackling ability, and he is as hard to stop as a freight train when he gets moving!

i think hes a very good player, hes great for morale and can turn a game around if hes brought on for the last 20 mins or so. And i think its very unfair to critisise him so much, 90% of teams would love to have an impact player like him on their side.

he is a bull. Cheval means horse and chebal means ur F**KED if he starts running at you. yea he is overrated but aren't all professional atheltes. David Beckham, Tiger Woods, Wayne Rooney, Johnny Wilkonson. they all are but he is a tank!

I agree with you. I love to see him come on as a sub for the French. He's a great player and it would be good to see him get on longer in matches. He is a beast!

He is a legend and I really missed him in the Six Nations.

His presence in any match, adds a certain 'Je ne sais quoi'!

He is a has been just like Jonah Lomu.The more dangerous you are in rugby, the more targeted you become.

Great at club level, but isn't quite able to match that form for France.

My Rugby playing lads say that he's not so good in defence because he won't play conventionally and so is out of position quite a lot.

He drives a Smart Car.  Just thought I'd tell you that.

No, he is a good player but I do think he's over-rated, there are better 8's out there.

hes a impact player 4 france especially agianst england but tht cause england are so rubbish

To be honest, France have so many better loose forwards than him that he shouldn't be anywhere near the team.

He isn't a second row either.
