  1. obviously rugby union

  2. The one with 2 men more than the other! They have more men, and wouldn't have to lose possession after 6 tackles.

If they played the SAME rules, a union team would beat a league team (at union) and a league team beat a union team (at league) just as in the Wigan v Bath Cross Code Challenge.

  3. Most players that decide to change codes (league to union and vice versa) fail. There have been few successes. The only likely successes are those players playing wing. I cant think of one Union player changing to league and succeeding. When I played, I found league far more physically demanding than Union. On a fitness side, the League players would win out over League for sure.

  4. It would be a laugh. So many penalties against the league players for not getting back 10 metres it wouldnt be funny.

  5. Maybe it would be better to get them to both play a neutral game!  Netball or water polo maybe.

  6. Rugby Union of course, the game they play in heaven!

  7. I agree with Daniel H, however Jonathan Davies and Scott Gibbs were both successful in union before shifting to league and also Va inga Tuigamala and none of them played wing, well inga did in union

  8. the game wouldn't work because there are several key differences in the way the games are played.  In league rugby as soon as a player is tackled the defending team have to back off and allow the attacking team to roll the ball back and continue the attack, in union they don't do that so the game couldn't work, they would have to play one set of rules or the other

  9. Who cares they are both great games and have similarities and different strengths.  I am not going to debate the issue.  They had a hybrid game involving different rules for each half but it was more like a festival game.

  10. It wouldn't be possible.Which rules would the referee use? As soon as a rugby league player is tackled and a union player tries to wrestle the ball away, a league ref would give a penalty but a union ref wouldn't.

What would happen if the ball went over the touchline?..the union players would be ready for a lineout and the league players would get ready for a scrum.

You 'd have to have both teams playing the same rules, league in one game and union in another.

This happened a few years back..Wigan v Bath.

Both won their respective code's game....which was not unexpected.

Who's the prat who gave me a thumb down??/ Why??

  11. Are you stupid? One has more players than the other, they both have different rules, both have different versions of the scrum, different points scored for trys and conversions, different causes for scrums, one does the rook and line out the other does not !!!
