Rugby Update: Jeremy Manning signs extended contract with Newcastle Falcons
New Zealand born fly-half Jeremy Manning has signed an extended contract with Newcastle Falcons and now his stay with Falcons has increased to one more year.
The 24-year-old player was playing for Munster before he joined Newcastle Falcons in May this year. Although, he couldn't get huge amount of opportunities for Munster but still his career record for them was great, which impressed the Newcastle Falcons head
coach Alan Tait who offered Manning to play for his club which he gladly accepted. He played 50 matches for Munster in his 2 years association with them and scored 173 points for them.
The versatile Jeremy Manning, who was talking to the media today, confirmed his extended contract with Falcons and said that he is happy as he really enjoys his time here.
"I am really happy with life in the north-east. There is a lot of young talent here at the club and I want to help them develop. This is a fantastic club which is ambitious and moving in the right direction. I am delighted to be a part of it."
Meanwhile, Alan Tait said that this is great news for all the members of the club as everybody wanted to see Manning stay longer.
"Manning has excelled since he joined the club and I am really pleased he has signed the contract. He is a good lad and he is settled very well on Tyneside. With the youngsters coming through, Jeremy is a great asset for the
club."
Undoubtedly, Manning has developed himself as one of the main players for Falcons. This extended contract will definitely enhance his confidence, which will also improve his performance.
