Rugby World Cup 2007, What TV channel(s) can I find it on??

I'm looking for the actual Television channel(s) here in the US where I can watch the Rugby World Cup. And what times would be excellent as well... Please don't give me some internet site that you have to pay for to watch.. Cheers

here's the deal- Setanta has the broadcast rites... watch it on DirecTV or dish or some cable companies- go to Setanta.com and look up how to purchase the channel. Or you can order it live on setanta broadband and watch it on your computer- or you can watch it in a bar- most bars have setanta- it might take some scouting or calling around. The games are listed on setanta's website and they will tell you if the game is being played live or not. if it is delayed, it will be delayed 24-48 hours form the live time on the regular setanta sports channel. Setanta also replays the games in prime time. just find the tv listings for your area and search the setanta channel for the guide.

some bars have setanta premium channel which shows all matches live... it costs bars lots of $$ so not many have it but you can search a venue on setanta site.

Versus channel also plays delayed select matches (previously outdoor life channel on most cable stations)

There are a few free torrent sites you can download games, but you may have to wait until someone uploads it. I assume you are not as interested in that but in a tv channel. Recently I was living in Montreal and did some research about where to watch rugby in North America. The unfortunate state is that it is quite rare but in the United States you will need to subscribe to Setanta Sports (http://na.setanta.com/na). I believe that you will need one of the cable or satellite providers such as DirecTV. It was fairly costly if I remember but if you are interested to watch then it may be worth it.

If you can't get Setanta, you can watch some games on Versus ( http://www.versus.com ) - I've been recording the games, and we get probably 6-8 regular games, the quarter finals, semi finals, and finals.  They are typically on from 2pm to 4pm.

You can watch all scottish games live and online at http://www.stv.tv/content/sport/Rugby/ which I had to pay to find out via watch live rugby ( http://www.watchliverugby.com ). I think it's worth supporting sites like these though - who do their utmost to allow people from around the world to watch the best game in the world. But yeah, that's the only resource i can really recommend besides wlr.

Versus are showing select games throughout the tournament but they are not showing that many matches.
