1.Australia are obviously favourites but can Wales win pool B, best odds are 5/2 with the Aussies at 4/9.

Is 5/2 worth a punt on Wales?

2.Who's gonna win the world cup?

  1. From a welsh man, keep your money in your pocket, Wales can be the most dynamic and expansive team in the world, but unfortunately do not have the consistency to win the world cup at this time.

If you want to put money on any one it has to be the all blacks, however if you are looking for slightly better odds you may go for south africa or France, not only are they looking sharp and have sorted out discipline problems they have the home crowd advantage.

  2. wales???? .. ha ha .win the ha ha  world cup

    shurely shome mishtake

  3. well wales have got bellamy, and koumas, and nathan blake (ok, so i was joking about the last one), but on the other hand australia have got the LIPS man himself, tim gayhill, and harry (i can't play for my club but i'm always fit for my country) kewell.  it's a tight one and a game of 2 halves but if i was a betting man i'd put my cash on a draw with a saver on under 2 goals.  it'll take something special to unlock these defences so go for gareth bale for first goalscorer from a free-kick just right of centre.  hope you're a wiener!!!  come on you blues...

  4. Yeah i can only see one winner and that's New zealand.  But stranger things happen!!  May the best team win!!   : )

  5. Why don't people RTFQ correct........Worth a flutter, on a good day they can beat the Aussies, with the game at the Millennium Stadium, they have the advantage of the 16th player so to speak and no other country has a fan base like the proud Welsh!

As for the overall winners........has to be the All Blacks!

  6. Wales could but only through alot of heart. They are riddled with injuries at the moment, they gave Aussie a wake up call when they toured there earlier this year.

If they can bring the same passion and grit like Wales i use to watch as a young falla in the 70s and play like men possesed they could beat any one.

    Go Ted and our beloved ALL BLACKS.(CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD}

  7. I want England to win but they probably won't :(

  8. Australia bet the All Blacks just a few months ago, so it would be a hard bet to try and think they can pull it off against them.  I think that being in France they will have a lot of support form Welsh men and women travelling to see them, so that should be an advantage.  Look to see a close game with either team winning.  I truly can't see why Wales can't beat Australia.  From there who knows what will happen with Wales it might give them a lift but on the other hand every other team would be wary of them.

  9. France

  10. Wales came within 1 minute of beating the Aussies a few weeks back, only a last minute try prevented them. They are well worth a flutter at that price.

Some of these answerers think it's a bet to win the whole thing...NO, that's 80-1, this is just to win the group!

    Cymru am byth!!!

The NZ all-blacks will have to be favourites.

  11. No one knows with wales..they could easily beat australia (it's in cardiff) or they could loose to canada..and be knocked out in the first week.

  12. There's never any point betting on favourites so perhaps a small wager on Wales at those odds is worth the risk, but don't bet the ranch on it. I'd be very surprised if Wales do beat the Wallabies and not that surprised if we were beaten by Canada. It depends which Welsh team turn up on the day.

As for who will win the cup, the French are convinced it will be them, but my expectation is that it will be the Kiwis.

  13. Wales will not get out of their pool.  Its a big dream for a little country.  But they have no chance against Aus,

I reckon either SA or NZ (even maybe Aus) to win

  14. They can definately win the pool, but I don't think they will.  Australia should handle them well enough (even though I will be cheering on Wales).  If you can afford it, then why not place a bet on it... I know I wont be though lol

New Zealand to win it all.

  15. A year ago they would have had a great chance but injuries meant that the best team didnt compete in matches in recent times However the majority of players are fit now and as Gareth Thomas said that once the tournament starts Wales will rise to the occasion. Wales are at their most dangerous when underdogs

  16. absolutely yes it is worth a little flutter..!!

a couple of years ago...i backed Wales to win the 6 nations (cant exactly remember what year..but very recent) and i won £150 quid!!

when Wales are on form..they are brilliant i think...and i am an English person saying that!!

Winners (World Cup) in my book though, would be New Zealand...as they are quite awesome lately...they are a real powerful force!
