Rugby World Cup on TV in Houston, Texas?

It seems that only Setanta will broadcast the games live. I have Comcast cable...

The opening game is on Friday, the 7th of september at 2pm, just when everybody is at work.

I am looking for somebody who will record the game and watch it later on this day... Of course, I will behave, share the fees and my beers!

Mate, can`t help you ,but  I know how frustrated you must feel, In 2006, I was in San Antonio, with another Kiwi,2.00 am Sat. morning,running around,trying to get coverage of All Blacks Vs Wallabies , Bledisloe Cup Game.Nobody there, even  knew what Rugby was ,they thought we were crazy.All we could find was a computer in our hotel & Radio NZ, broadcast...We contemplated suicide........

setanta offers a broadband live service- only offered live though

from the looks of it, setanta will replay some of the games, so you may be able to catch it on a repeat at a bar during prime time.  if you look at directv scedule online, it might help.  i scanned through the scedule on my receiver for directv for the 7th to make sure it is set to record and noticed that they are showing the gmes more than once.  argentina vs france replays on setanta sports at 9pm on friday the 7th.

I know your frustration - I am a rugby lover sitting in a country where sport consists of baseball and basketball. If you don't find a place in Houston, try this website.

They stream the games on a 24 hour delay. Not ideal, but at least you can watch all the games.

For those w/out Setanta on DirecTV here are a few games being shown on Versus (formerly Outdoor Life Network).
