Rugby help!!!!!!?

i am having a touch competition tomorrow and i have been chosen as the play maker(half-back) for the team. so can u please give tips on how to improve my play making skills and tips on how to read the game thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hmmmmm, i been watching rugby (league AND union)for over 30 years and i played for over 10 and i thought the playmaker was the 5/8. I must be silly or something.

Anyways, save your energy for attack. communicate heaps with your runners. In touch you need to have plenty of runners and they need to be deep.

Constantly watch their defensive line for signs of weaknesses from gaps AND depth.

Dont be afraid to go OVER their defense, especially if they've just turned the ball over.

keep your head up, watch your depth when you're attacking (make sure you're far enough behind the ball carrier), initiate touches if you need to, half back needs to keep the game moving as quick as possible, but also under control at the same time. good luck
