  1. Although the fella above me makes some good points,  I dont agree with some of them,

Luke O'Donnell is not the best lock in the world because he is not a lock,  O'Donnells best position is Second row,  Tonie Carroll or Sonny Bill Williams are not the best  either.

If you want to see a class Lock(Loose forward in England) in Super League watch Paul Sculthorpe of St Helens, Great Ball handler and a great leader, He is big, strong, tough and skillfull.

The Aussies only have one out and out lock in my opinion and that is Young Reni Maitua from the Canterbury Bulldogs.(Fantastic player).

Seen as though the Union locks generally are not as skillfull with the ball in hand compared to Lock's in League , I would say to you go for second row.

There are some very good second rowers in super league, the form man at the moment being Glenn Morrison(Bradford Bulls).

Some other quality second rowers for you to keep your eye on in Super League.

    Gareth Ellis (Leeds Rhinos)

    Gareth Hock (Wigan Warriors)

David Solamona (Bradford Bulls) (This fella is a freak, you wont be like him)

    Bryan Fletcher (Wigan Warriors)

    Lee Gilmour (St Helens)

    Lee Radford (Hull FC)

If you get to watch Aussie NRL.

    Nathan Hindmarsh (Parramatta Eels)

    Andrew Ryan (Canterbury Bulldogs)

    Willie Mason (Canterbury Bulldogs)

    Tony Puletua (Penrith Panthers)

    Luke O'Donnell (North Queensland Cowboys)

    Frank Pritchard (Penrith Panthers)

    David Kidwell (South Sydney Rabbitohs)

    David Fa'Alogo  (South Sydney Rabbitohs)

    Brad Thorn (Brisbane Broncos)

Just a few off the top of my head.

  2. dude play lock in league that's no. 13, you need to have size and solid pace to play it though. The Lock position in league is basically a mobile forward, has to be solid in defense and devastating in attack that's why it's best to be built like a forward but run like a backliner. If you got speed and size, try playing centres or second row.

The best lock in the world is probably: Luke O'Donnell for the NQ Cowboys, then Tonie Carroll, Sonny Bill Williams. All Ozzie players, if you want to get better then watch NRL not Super League.

The best centres: Mark Gasnier and Matty Cooper, then Justin Hodges and Greg Inglis also Ozzie players.

  3. Rugby league is unitarily different to super league very fast game, if you want to score more point become a winger well depending how fast you are and if you get picked.

With rugby its not all about how much point you score its about defending and being part of a team that’s what rugby is a team game because 50% of the game you will be defending. And 100% of the game you will be relying  on you’re team mates to get the ball out to you.
