  1. I'm from the South and much prefer Union

  2. ...League

  3. union

  4. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by this as it's rather a general question and you've not specified anything. If you're trying to suggest that Rugby League is played mainly in the northern hemosphere and Union in the southern then I'd disagree. If you're talking about in the UK then... I'd have to agree. Rugby League does tend to be played more the further north you go.

Edit: I think the reason for the divide is more because it was traditional than anything. Or perhaps there just wasn't much interest?

  5. There is definitely still a N/S divide. I play RU in a RL stronghold and RU is still perceived as a public school game by those who have never played or watched the game (i.e. with an open mind to uattempt to understand RU), kick and clap was a recent phrase I heard to describe RU but the game has moved on from that generally because of what it has taken from RL.

However the same can be said for RL in the RU strongholds and although it would appear that RU is encompassing a lot of the good aspects of RL, I can't ever see RL taking hold south of Warrington as RU supporters seem happy enough with what they've got and what they can take from RL.

    ps I enjoy both codes

  6. League and im from the north
