Rugby league training for strength

I'm 14 years old and i want to train for rugby league.I'm a fullback. Average size 58 kilos and 172cm in height . I want to train for strength, speed, aglility but I'm not sure the what the best way to do this is? Can anybody please help

  1. If your a big person maybe start going to the gym twice a week, Go to a speed website www.speed.com and aglility probaly just keep on exerciseing.


  2. At 14 year of age you will need to check with medical professionals as to what you body will take relating to stress and strain. I personally don't think you need strength training at your age By your own description you appear to be on the way to a fairly decent size naturally and any extra strength training may inhibit speed and agility further down the track.My suggestion would be to concentrate on aerobic style exercises to  build speed and agility now then when you are a little older start on strength training your body needs time to grow
