  5. Both if I could choose that but over all rugby

  6. rugby

  7. lets look at the facts

in rugdy you dont go off with injury until ur bleeding

in foot you go off unconsius if a fat man runs on the pitch and slaps you on the face.

the rugby players arent made of plastick

    football players are

and most im portantly, rugby players play for the pride

football players play for the cash

    so

    RUGBY ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  8. Rugby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. football rocks

  10. RUGBY. The fans aren't segregated and after a match both teams and the match officials have a social get-together.

Football gets less sporting every season and the proffessional game stifles flair and originality to promote safer playing styles. They could do with the "No dissent" rule that Rugby has as well.

What is that performance with footballers if they end up on the ground? They're meant to be fit, toned-up athletes.

  11. Rugby > football

  12. I've played both at a fairly competitive level, and they are completely different cultures. I loved playing football, the strategy, the division of offense and defense, and the aerial passing attack.

However anyone who has ever played rugby will tell you it is the greatest team camaraderie that exists. 15 guys on each side will put it all on the line for their teammates, and there is a true elegance to the perceived violence. The social aspect (i.e. partying and tradition) is incredible with the sport, and there's something amazing about spending 60 minutes wanting to tear our your opponent's limbs, and then wanting nothing more than to have a beer with them once the final whistle blows.

As far as watching the sport goes, I think most people prefer football because they understand what's going on. The casual fan has no idea of the rules of rugby, and therefore find the game confusing. Those who know the rules and the teams playing, however, will argue that Rugby is the best spectator sport around, as there is very little stoppage in play, and every player on the field is actively involved.

That said, there's nothing I'd rather watch on a lazy Sunday than a great NFL game....

  13. Rugby Definitely!!!!!!!

Modern Professional football and Footballers are corrupt cheating, lying theatrical Jessie's, I cant believe some of the antics they get up to, Feigning Injuries to get fellow players booked/sent off !!!!!!!

The way the referee is treated by footballers is appalling and it is now spreading into the lower leagues and Kids footballl !!!!!

As some one has already posted, The best feature of RU is the social side, I Played for 20 years and have made some wonderful Friends through it. Rugby is a Team Game with no equivalent !!!!

I have played 4/5th team club footbal in London and the atmosphere in the games was Pathetic,  no team spirit, No friendship and no social life all they could do was stand around and talk about how good they were,

I would much rather go to a international or club rugby rugby union match in total safety than a Pro football match where I have a chance of dying for wearing the wrong colours.

I have to say that I went to watch Featherstone Rovers against somebody else in the Challenge Cup final years ago at wembley and it is the only time i have seen fighting in the crowd at a Rugby Match
