  1. I play in college, and our main fitness thing is interval training (sprint, rest, repeat).  For strength training check out www.crossfit.com They publish a 'workout of the day' each day, including rest days, and the workouts are really intense but can be scaled to meet your needs (they also don't require much equipment).  Wrestling is also good for rugby.

  2. obstacle course, soccer ya big time, lots of running

  3. ok well i play american football so

you should lift some wieghts not to much ur a girl and guuys dont ussally like to muscular women.  you need to run alot and workon balance so u wot fall easily.

  4. aerobics, strenght and flexibility exercises are good. you have to have good balance in legs and arms. Play it to the bone.

  5. a good technique that not many people know about is to find a good, steep hill. at about a 35 degree incline. sprint down it. your legs have to move fast than normal to keep your balance. this increases your speed because you run faster automatically. then jog back up the hill and repeat. the jog back up increases your fitness level and because of the incline, it also trains your core muscles. it's a sipmle excersise and doesnt need any equipement.

give it a try and see what happens!!

    good luck

  6. definently alot of running, as a rugby game is 80 minutes of continous running. not alot of distance running, but more sprints. sprint, take a short break, sprint, take a short break... continue for a long time. crunches will help as a strong core is extremely underestimated. wall sits will help too as strong legs are the most imparative physical attribute. Those are the best things to help you get ready physically, but when it gets down to  the game, technique and knowledge of the game are extemely imparitive.

  7. some running would help to be in shape for it and make sure you can get hit since it is rugby. im definitely liking you, email me :)
