Shoulder surgery rules out George North from opening matches of Six Nations Tournament

Scarlets and Welsh wing George North has been ruled out from rugby for a probable period of 12 weeks after he had a shoulder surgery last night.
The 18-year-old, George North sustained an injury in the recently concluded Autumn Internationals, while he was playing the match against Fiji but he purposely played the Wales’s next match against the All Blacks
without a 100% fitness, which caused even more damage to his injury.
Yesterday’s surgery has also ended his chances to play in the opening matches of the upcoming Six Nations tournament, where Wales will face England in the opening match at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff on the
4th of February. He is likely to miss the 3 opening matches against England, Scotland and Italy and could be able to make his return against France and Ireland.
His coach at his club is not happy with the situation and the way he handled his injury. He believes that if he wasn’t 100% fit then he should not have played the game against the All Blacks. He further said
that upon return to the club, the club’s doctors examined his injury and it was far worse than originally expected.
North’s injury is a real blow for Wales as their main player for the wing position, Shane Williams, is also injured and North was acting as his replacement. But now North’s injury has left them empty handed.
North has recently made his international debut, when Welsh Coach, Warren Gatland called him into the Welsh squad after he performed remarkably well in the current season for his club, the Scarlets.
In his debut match against the Springboks, North scored 2 tries for his team. He also played well in the matches against Fiji and the All Blacks and was a confirmed player in the starting 15 against England in the opening match
of the Six Nations but his injury ruled him out, which is a great disappointment for him as well.
