Ruhuna secured the final spot after defeating Kandurata at the Colombo arena July 30. The match turned out to be a thriller after the Ruhuna bowlers, in the closing moments of the bout, forced the Kandurata fall 7 runs off the chase.
As for the lucky Wayamba side, the team found itself a place in the tournament final, after its semi final game against Basnahira was called off due to weather conditions. However, the match win was eventually awarded to the Wayamba side, based on a coin-toss.
For the upcoming bout, both the skippers rest their reliance on their much gifted squads for offering their best in the deciding bout.
