Ruined Mum's best blouse?

I'm home with my brother during the day (during the summer). My mum called me to ask me to put the wet clothes in the dryer, but to take out the shirts (as they would shrink in the dryer). I was sorting through it all, and got all the shirts out. Started the dryer, hung up the shirts to dry.

When she got home, she was sorting through the dry clothes (apparently I do not fold the laundry the 'right' way LOL) and saw the shirts hanging up.

She said 'You better not have forgotten my blouse'

About 5 seconds later she pulls it out (OF THE DRYER!)

She said 'Great, now it's not gonna fit me anymore'

As soon as she said that, I felt AWFUL! I said

'Oh my gosh! I'm SOOOO sorry!! I'll buy you a new one!!'

I was thinking it;s like 20$ maybe.

She says 'It's from Banana Republic, and it's expensive'

She has barely said two words to me since then (it was about 3 1/2 hrs. ago) and I feel AWFUL!!

I checked online, and the blouse is 58$!

I don't know what to do!

let her cool off. it was not intentional. make it up to her by making dinner and cleaning the house. right her a note saying how sorry you are and that you will work around the house to help pay for it. let her know you did not do it on purpose.

look & see if you can get it on ebay. she will get over it, she may even be more mad at herself, but don't say that to her.
