Rules & name to card game which is known as blackjack but is not pontoon or 21 (check question for more info)?

Hello me and a friend are looking for rules of a cardgame known to us as blackjack but when i search for that i get pontoon/21.

All i remember of the game is you deal i think it is 7 cards to each player certian cards has a "Power" ie a Black Jack when put down make the player next to me pick up 10 cards. a 7 Make you pick up 7 cards you also get cards for miss a turn, and so on. Can anybody help me with this please as its driving us mad! lol

I know the game you mean and it is commonly called blackjack.

From what I remember, the special cards are:

2- Pick up 2 unless you have a 2 youself

10 is miss a turn unless you have a 10 as well

Black jack is pick up 10 unless you have a black or red jack

Red jack cancels black jack

King is change direction.

Ace is choose a suit

The idea is to get rid of your cards.

Shuffle deck and deal 7 cards each. Turn over the the top card to start. take it in turns to lay a card down but you can only put down a card of the same suit or same number as the top card of the discard pile.

If you can't lay down you pick up all the discarded cards.  If somebody lays down a special card, you must lay another one down to pass it's effects to the next player. So if player 1 lays a 2, then player 2 lays a 2 on top of that, the following player must lay a 2 or pick up 4.  (Really harsh when you get hit with 2 blackjacks!!!)

Also, you must declare last card or you will not be allowed to finish.

As an ex croupier I can tell you that you have the wrong game, Blackjack is when you get 2 cards and have to get as close to 21 as possible without going bust against the dealer who also gets 2 cards.  A picture card or 10 and an ace gets a blackjack.  I'm not sure what game your on about but it sounds a bit like rummie?
