Rules of woking at subway?

ok i just started working at subway last wednesday. i wanted to know what are the rules of having real nails? the assistant manager told me she noticed my long nails there not extremely just a little long. the only thing she said bout it was i couldnt have fake or painted nails,she said that real nails are fine as long as they are clean. my nails are always clean. i took the paint off. i wear gloves all the time. and now i met the real boss which i found out she really hates me from past experience somwhere else and she is a *****. well she said i needed to cut them and i really dont want to i have been growning them and trimming them for 7 months there very healthy and beautiful. i dont see the need to specially when the assistant said it wasnt a problem?

my friend is a subway assistant manager and as long as your nails are clean and not extremely long you are ok. as long as you dont paint them your good to go.

The reason why is because even though you are wearing gloves, there could always be a chance of getting a nail in the food, even a 1% chance and the longer the nails, the more likely they would be to break and to get in the food.

The rule in any fast food or restaurant style shop, is that you must have your nails cut short, because you can carry germs under your nails, and spread it on all the food products, and make customers or yourself sick.

I used to manage a Subway, the assistant manager told you right. They can't be fake, cant have polish. It prevents you from losing a nail or polish flakes into the food. Call corporate and ask.
