Rumbury Grey tipped to win the Llewellyn Humphreys Novices´ Hunters´ Chase
Rumbury Grey is likely to prevail in the Llewellyn Humphreys Novices´ Hunters´ Chase at Ffos Las in England on Thursday, March 29, 2012. The triumphant horse will walk away with a cash prize of £1,317.
A total of 16 runners will be seen in action and their names are as follows: Rumbury Grey, Benedictus, Dunshane, John Clayton, Billy Cuckoo, Dollydo, Interpleader, Openditch, Direct Flo, Cherokee Star, Sharese, Tom Bach, Empty Sky, Minellaformarriage,
Lucius Fabeo and Seal Island.
The going is expected to be good and the runners will have to cover a distance of over 2 miles and five furlongs. The race is scheduled to start at 5:05 GMT.
Out of all the participants, Rumbury Grey seems to be in best shape at the moment. The bookies have confidence in his abilities and he will be chasing a third consecutive victory of his career.
The nine-year-old gelding is quite new to the sport, but he has the potential of becoming one of the best in the business. He has entered just a couple of events in his career until now, winning both of them.
These performances will definitely encourage the punters to place maximum number of bets in favour of Rumbury Grey, who has got off to a superb start to his career.
S Flook’s trained runner will be partnered by Mr R. Jarrett, who is relatively new to the sport. He has won eight chase races until now and has a very good strike rate, which will force the punters to risk money in his favour.
Other than the race favourite, Benedictus will also be the one to watch out for. He has been performing well in PTP events, thus the punters will be encouraged to place some bets in his favour.
The seven-year-old gelding has not taken part in any chase race until now, but has the potential of fighting for victories consistently.
Jane Western’s trainee will be ridden by J Barber in today’s race. The young rider has done well in his career until now, but does not have an impressive strike rate.
Although the bookies have given the best odds to Rumbury Grey and Benedictus, some of the other runners might also manage to make an impression. However, the former of the two seems to have the best chance of winning today.
