Los Leones side’s president had threatened to take legal action against the FC Hollywood outfit after Javi Martinez went to Munich for a medical test without permission, but the La Liga side would not pursue the matter
any further.
Bayern Munich chief executive officer Karl-Heinz Rummenigge suggested that Athletic Bilbao will drop the case against the Bavarian giants’ due to the transfer of Javi Martinez. The club official who is also the acting president
of the European Club Association said that Bayern are in no danger of a legal battle with the Lions club.
The Spanish club’s president Josu Urrutia was not enthused with Der FCB side’s behaviour in the transfer as the 24-year-old was speculated to travel to the Allianz Arena for a medical without prior notice to the Lions. The highly-rated
midfielder went on to complete the prospective move on a five-year deal.
Nevertheless, the two-time former European Footballer of the Year stated that Die Roten team will not face any problems from the legal side of affairs, as he claimed that his club did not do any illegal thing during the transfer.
He said that Bayern behaved very professionally and did not break any rules.
