On the other hand, Rummenigge casted his doubt over Bayern’s UEFA Champions League ambitions this season. He insisted that the Bavarian giants have significantly improved from the past few years but might not yet be ready to dominate
the teams such as AC Milan, Barcelona or Real Madrid.
"I am deliberately cautious when we're talking about the Champions League. Real [Madrid], Barcelona and AC Milan are fantastic clubs in my opinion. We have closed the gap with them a bit in the past two years, but they are still
slightly ahead of us," Rummenigge concluded.
