Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge claimed that his side’s main aim would be to win the league title this term.
The Bavarian giants have gone two years without winning the Bundesliga and have been second to Borussia Dortmund as the most impressive team in Germany. The UEFA Champions League finalists last won the league in the 2009-10 season

Jupp Heynckes’ side had a dismal campaign last term as they were trophyless and were runners-up in as many as three competitions. The team lost out in to Cup finals namely the German Cup and the UEFA Champions League to the likes
of Borussia Dortmund and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and were criticised for lacking the finishing edge.
Rummenigge claimed that Bayern will enter the new season with the aim of becoming German champions at the end of the campaign and is confident that his side will be able to knock Dortmund off their perch. The chief taunted Dortmund
for not openly expressing their ambition to win the title and insisted that they may not be certain enough as Bayern will be a strong side next season.
The chairman admitted that does not have to keep his targets to himself as Bayern have always been open about their approach. He added that the squad has strengthened this summer and Bayern Munich will be an even stronger side
in the upcoming season. He hailed the new acquisitions and is hopeful that the additions play a role in the club’s success.
“We have the objective of becoming German champions. Unlike a certain team from West-http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904, we are not afraid to express our ambitions. We are a bit more straightforward in that regard. We know that we have a good team,” the
former Bayern star was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Bavarians have spent heavily in the summer’s transfer window to make sure they have a squad that can compete with rivals Borussia Dortmund. The side has acquired some of the top talents in Europe to add versatility and spark
to the team.
