Der FCB’s CEO has insisted that he is pleased with the achievements of the Bundesliga clubs in the UEFA Champions League, and feels teams would not want to face them in the round of 16
Bayern Munich club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes that his side, reigning German champions’ Borussia Dortmund and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Schalke-04-c39204 are favourites to progress further into the competition after impressive starts and topping
their respective groups ahead of top European teams.
The top three German clubs saw off the competition from big clubs such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429. As a result, the German legend is happy with the raised profile of the Bundesliga this term. He stressed
that other teams will be hesitant to play the Bundesliga sides after their current form in the tournament.
The chief executive claimed that Bayern, Schalke and Dortmund have earned the tag of tournament favourites throughout the continent. He said that this shows that the German League is on the rise and is getting better day by day.
He admitted that the BVB and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Blues saw off fierce competition to qualify for the next round.
"At the moment, I don't think anyone in Europe would be happy about facing a German team. We, and also Dortmund and Schalke, have earned great respect around Europe," the Bayern chairman added.
The club official further added that this season Bundesliga has got the better of English outfits. He is looking forward to the draw for the round of 16 and stated that Die Roten are hungry for success this term, after losing to
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the final of last year.

"It's proof that the Bundesliga has carved out a place in Europe. Both Dortmund and Schalke survived difficult groups, meaning the Bundesliga has again made up valuable points on the Premier League in the five-year ranking," he mused.

"When I look at our potential opponents, there are a few big names in there. We'll definitely continue to be highly motivated for the Champions League,” he finally stated.
Rummenigge conceded that Bayern might face some difficult teams in the knockout stages, but are well prepared.
