  1. The truth is that there are THREE Stanley Cups.  The Original Cup, given by Lord Stanley of Preston, is sitting in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.  The Presentation Cup (around since 1963) is given to the winning team and is the Cup that travels to all the different places.  The Replica Cup (been around since 1994) sits in the Hockey Hall of Fame when the Presentation Cup is out.

  2. I seriously doubt that.

  3. There are 2 that I have heard of, there is the real one presented at the game and then there is a replica that travels to different events, as far as the one that the players take with them to there home towns I think it is the real one.

  4. There is only ONE Stanley Cup. There are however 2 replicas...one that we all know about..but there is yet another for emergencies.

**** thehuman...they take off rings of the Cup when it gets full and add others. The one's taken off are displayed at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

  6. Yes, there are 2.  One that is the one that is displayed at the Hall of Fame, given out at the conclusion of the Finals, and travels with the players for a day each.  The other is than a stand-in for the "true" cup when it is out with the players and travels for promo/publicity tours.  I've seen both a couple of times and believe me there is a slight differance.

  7. At my house down the hall, past the foyer, down the stairs there's a  secret den below the false bottom of my basement which leads to another trap door with the combination **(2 times to the right) -**(1 time to the left)- and ** (1 turn to the right)-- That's where they keep the actual one until the night of the championship.  Then the airspace is cleared as it is secretly flown in on Airforce One.  Just some cool facts.

  8. its not really a rumour, its reality...

there is ONE legit cup that the players win and carry around and thats the one everyone wants...but theres also a replica to put on display at the hall of fame for when the real one is out and about. crazy stuff.

also theres the original one at the HHOF its brown and stuff coool

  9. No, I'm pretty sure there's just one.

  10. Sorta one for the teams and one in the Hall of Fame.

  11. There is only one Stanley Cup -- authenticated by the seal of the Hockey Hall of Fame in the bottom of the Cup; this seal can be seen when winning players lift the Cup over their heads.

There is a second version of the Stanley Cup that remains in the Hall of Fame, which never travels, and is used for display purposes only at the Hall when the Stanley Cup is traveling; this Cup is perfect and has no misspells.

  12. No, there is only one stanley cup.
