Anyone have any insight on this? I was looking to by one...but my funds won't be available to buy the car until next season, and with only a limited amount coming out this season I would hate to have missed my chance.

Thanks!

  1. I just completed GTR school yesterday where do you guys get your facts? All 1,400 GTR were sold in the first week or two. You cannot buy one this year except on e-bay or Crag's List.. The Spec V GTR is comming out next year with over 500 hp so waiting has it's rewards. As far as Nissan inporting fewer next year I have not heard anything about that.   One thing I know this SUPERCAR is for the WEALTHY person who can afford  anything they want. Not for the common guy who wants to have a plaything. I could not afford to live in the car because it cost's as much as my house. Maintence for 36 months is covered but not covered wear items like brakes are super expensive  You do not replace just pads. The entire brake system is replaced rotors pads and fluid and special procedures for bleeding are used. To run in the new rotors   the technician needs to heat the rotors to a specific temp to remove the special Zinc coating then take the rotors up to close to 700 degrees. Super Car needs Super Money

  2. It won't be canceled...the V Spec is still on the way and I haven't heard of a single car only making it 1 year on the American market. The shortest I can think of would be the FD RX-7 which lasted 3.

  3. No.

This car came out June 26th in the U.S. and so far it is not selling well. They are not sold out and there is no waiting list.

The Audi R8 has a 2 year waiting list. It is already sold out for 2009.

Nissan is just decreasing U.S. production, because it is not as popular as they thought it would be.

  4. I have to say....if your funds are "limited"...then like the rest of average joes.....all you can do is watch and admire. This car is not for the 1 day rich guy. This will be a collectors item and should be treated with the upmost respect. I have to give you props if you can drop that kinda of cash, I just hope after you drop that wad...you still have enough for the proper maintance.

Good luck and congrats once you get one.
