There is no rumor about that; you're getting it all mixed up. The Giants asked him to come to a celebration party since he was a former Giant.

The rumors aren't true. He was invited to attend some party for legendary outfielders of the Giants past. If I were him, I wouldn't attend it because of the way the Giants treated him.

I would love it. Not only would I love it, but so would ESPN, Foxsports, and Brett Favre.

Even if you don't like him for whatever reason, then wouldn't you want him to come back and make a fool of himself. Let's see if he can still hit the long ball.

there is no rumor the giants want barry back

the story is that they invited him to attend a special weekend at AT&T park where the giants organization will pay tribute to the best outfielders in the SF giants 50 year history. the way the news covered the story it made it sound like the giants wanted him back on the team, but really they just want him to be present for the ceremony
