  1. Its great to see others who are truly interested in running and wanting to better themselves! Theres alot of ways to get a faster time and feel great at the finish line it all depends how bad you want it! First you have to watch what you eat and how much of it you eat. Cut out sugar, sweets, soda and caffeine completely! Stay away from grease fast food and junk food.

Start your mornings with a good three to four mile run but dont push anything, you just want to build up your lung endurance and legs so the 2.5 mile wont feel like much. End your night with sprint training on a track preferably. Work on maxing out your lungs and push your self as far as you can at a good 5mile an hour pace. A good way to do that on a track is jog a lap then sprint on, jog another then sprint one and so on. Run hills when you can they do miracles for your legs! You want a tight core when you run so start doing alot of sit ups, crunches and butterfly's whenever you get the chance! These are small things that you can begin doing to improve your run time. I hope ive helped!
