Runaways Please help !?

What to do if you know someone who just ran away ?

Who Should I notify if any .

He is my friend and also an Ex of mine.

Please help ..

You immediately tell their parents and a police officer so they can start looking for him

if he doesnt want to go home atleast call his parents blocked and let them know that he is alright so they dont call the police and arent worrying so much. then speak to him and try to convince him to return home

tell your parents, his, the police and if he has a cell phone, call him to see if he's okay while they're looking for him

stay out of it. he ran away for a reason. just offer to help him, that doens't mean turning him in.

I would tell his family and let them take it from there. That is probably as far as I would get involved.

Tell his family. Tell the cops. TELL SOMEONE. You don't want him to get hurt. If you do nothing and something bad happens to him, you will feel guilty for the rest of your life.

And don't worry about him being mad at you. You're doing it for his own good, and someday he'll realize that and be thankful. Good luck!

The only thing you can do is be there for him. Make sure he has something to eat and maybe a place to stay if you can do that.

Maybe try and find out why he ran away and whether or not he's thought this through.

You can't really call anyone, cause who would you call? The police? If they catch him they'll just take him back home or to juvenile hall. You can't call his parents because they're probably the reason he ran away to begin with.

If you call a runaway hotline, they can't do anything really. But maybe you should tell him to call 1-800-RUN-AWAY or if  he's LGBT the Trevor hotline at 1-866-4U-TREVOR.

Those people can refer him to shelters or help in other ways.
