Rundown on this year's Kentucky Derby?

If you had to describe the Kentucky Derby to someone who had no idea about it, how would you tell them about this year's Derby? Who are the favorites? What are the issues/uncertainties going into the race?

Most (if not all) of the starters have at least one significant negative making for a wide open race.  Ignore the Big Brown hype - nobody wins from the 20 hole.  Probably going to have a suicidal pace so don't be surprised if a grinder type like Giacomo wins.

This 2008 Derby is the Frist that I seen (17) horses with odds of 15-1 or more! Its wide open now that War pass is out and that Big Brown has #20 Post Position. Looking at all stats my top five horses are as follows: #4 Court Vision; #5 Eight Belles; #10 Colonel John; #6 Z Fortune; #20 Big Brown.
