  1. that's too much water. Everyone is different, some people need alot some, not as much, 6 is too much

  2. drink cold water, drink it slowly. That hydrates better and should keep you from having to potty so often.

  3. The guide about drinking 6 or 8 glasses of water is often misunderstood.

No one can stand at the sink and drink 6 or 8 glasses of water.

The amount of liquid you need also takes into account everything you drink, like tea, milk, liquids in foods.

You should drink during, before, and after exercise to prevent dehydration.

Drink one or two glasses first thing in the morning when you wake up, and with meals or when you feel thirsty, but you don't need to try to drink 6 bottles to satisfy your coach.

  4. haha, that's a lot of water. Don't grab a bottle of water a chug it down all at one time. That is not good and it will make you need the bathroom more often. Room temperature water is the best to drink because your body absorbs more of it and it is easier on your system. Cold water will shock your system (just think about this go to the ocean up by Alaska and jump in, you will get a nice cold shock right?) well just think what cold water does to your insides when you drink it. Hot water is just as bad. Room temp water is the best, sip on it all day long before and during your practice. After practice go ahead and drink a bottle. Also keep in mind being overhydrated is just as dangerous as being dehydrated. My best advice is what I tell my athletes. Being thirsty is the first sign of dehydration. If you sip the water all day you will never be thirsty and your body will have the chance to get rid of what it doesn't need so you won't have to worry about overhydrating. Have fun at practice ;)

  5. 6 bottles is pretty crazy but you need to stay hydrated.  Just dr
