I jog on the treadmill. I'm also lifting some weights for my calves, I want them to be shaped and defined, they look small and puny. Will the running help? Thank you!

  1. running definately builds your calves. but running doesnt give them that cut and distinguished look. if you want that look, you should just stick to some lightweight leg presses. running increases the size and length of your calve. pressing builds them out and gives you that really strong cut look.

    hope i could help!

  2. Yes it will. I'm running daily for the past 5 weeks and I'm increasing my running to walking ratio. I can tell you that my calf muscle grew noticeably. Also I do walking uphill for 10 min after I run for 20 with high elevation. I haven't lost any weight but I can tell you that I did gain calf muscle and running helps to make it more dense - shape it.
