Ok my first one is 27-28 seconds good for a 160 meter dash i mean i was slow near the end at first i was like 100% then i ran to like 90 then near the end 80% maybe to a walk but yeah if i had 100 meters it would probably be faster.

And two i need help i mean im a good sprinter but im not good with distances i mean i can only run like 2.75miles and that takes me like (30min) i know pretty bad im outta shape because i love short sprints but i never measured till now.

  1. one not too great, but not horrible either

two if you like short distances then just run short distances!

shoulders could be a result of dehydration, so you cramp up

next time you run make a conscious effort to not hold your arms rigidly.

    SWING'EM!

  2. Omg i have problems with my shoulders when i run too. I asked my coach and he said that i should stretch it out becuase its probably the muscle so i did that and it worked really good! And i am totally with you on the short sprints. Long running takes too much energy out of me!!!!!!!! Don't worry if you aren't in good shape! Work on it and you'll get better! =) Good Luck! I hope my advice helps!

  3. 27-28 sec for 160 is about a 35-37 sec 200m

I am not sure it is hard to know without a gender and  age (is best) or grade level.

I guess is that you’re a male just entering in hs?  Not goo in distance and not good in sprints.

Then go in the middle event...the 800m which is now considered to be an extended sprint.

Let’s say right now...you could run as you run 65 sec 400m

65x2 = 210 + 10 sec of fatigue gives a 2:20 800m very good if you are a freshman or sophomore in hs.  But I am guessing at that.

Also for distance running (including the 800m) you should build you base over the summer and run xc in the fall. You can still get on the teams for this fall. It will make you a beter 800-meter runner for the track season.

Start run for 20 min., 3-4 days per week. If that is too easy then add 5 min (25min) for 3-4 days for 2 week then if feel ok then move up to

30 min.  Ask the school trainer or your doctor about the shoulder aches...i have no idea wat is oing on there.

    Hope this helps

  4. Don't know your age or anything so it's hard to answer.I am from the uk so our grades are different but if your older than twelve that isn't great. However we are all beginners once why not go to your local track and join a club.Have a go at everything and you'll find something in track or field that you'll enjoy and be good at.As for the aching when you've been running a couple of miles that is totally normal.Just do more exercise and train more you sound like you just need more practice.
