Hi i am trying to get fit for the army and i have recently quit smoking but i had alot of smokes on the weekend while i was drinking but none since, and i went for a run today and i only made it about 1kmand it felt like my throat was caving in and i felt like throwing up for bout 5 minutes, would this mean that i am unfit or because of my smoking on the weekend?if I'm unfit are there any suggestions how i am going to be able to last a 2.4km run if i ge to basic training?or am i just not concentrating on my breathing enough?because the air was quite cold
