Question:

Running 2 mounted images that go together?

I have a program that's quite big so it comes with 2 ISO images. I mounted both images into My Computer. First image is my G drive, second image is my H drive. I ran the first image to install the program, but when it came time for me to "insert second cd" or in other words, run the second (H drive) mounted image, I tried clicking on it as you would to start any program, but it didn't work and I've looked at some of the configurations, but can't figure out how I'd run it as a "second cd" to make it work with the first mounted image. Can someone please help out out? Thanks to all who answer. Also, not sure if this matters or not, but I'm running XP.

  1. Use Daemon tools to mount the images. Mount the first image, then when it ask you to insert the second CD, right click in daemon tools, click "eject image", then mount the second image in the same drive letter.

  2. Try unmounting the first image from the first hdd(your G drive) and mounting the 2nd image on the same drive(your G drive).

  3. mount the first one, when it asks you for the second, unmount the one on G and mount the second ISO and click ok.  It wont cancel or stop the install, its designed for it to keep working when you remove the CD, so it should be the same when you mount the second ISO.
