  1. well if your planning on training for it then just do some long slow runs....

if your not training for it...just pace yourself. It may feel slow but if you sprint it you'll die out and look worse!

  2. Eat a bowl of pasta right now! and start drinking tons of water. Make sure you eat a good breakfast at least 2 hours before you run. Pace your self. Don't go out too fast. Breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. Pace is everything. If you go out to face you'll die out at the end. But its only a mile so don't go too slow. Your should increase your speed every quarter mile. Also since your a sprinter that can be an advantage. You should sprint as fast as you can on the last 200 meters. You'll  be sure to pass a few people. Just think good thoughts. No negative thoughts because that can also slow you down. I wish you the best of luck.

  3. ahhaha then it's all about pace.

make sure you don't gun it at the start...

if you end up in front, run right behind someone's shoulder and just kind of ride on it. stick right behind them, don't lose them.

it's not like you'll die trying anyways.. haha

but seriously... they're nothing wrong with starting slow, right? better to start slow then take down the last quarter or half mile than die at the end.

good luck! i want you to beat the boys. that's what its all about hahaha

  4. go at your own pace.

    i do xc. and really..

just don't worrie how you run.

cuz it'll effect you if you push yourself to hard

  5. Breathing correctly and pacing yourself. Breath in the nose and out the mouth. Run at a pace that you're comfortable with and won't be tired to quickly.

  6. stay with a group, don't wear yourself out, pace yourself, drink water, etc.

but it's probably too late for my answer now.

    so how was the mile?
