Question:

Running. I'm starting up again, tips?

So, i havnt actually ran for about 2 years now. and i just started a week ago, and the end result was lots of pain. i need some tips to control my breathing, and tips on form. Im normally a swimmer, so i need an easy wasy to segway into the change! thanks!

  1. Get really good shoes, don't skimp--feet are important!  I suggest you go to a store that specializes in running shoes so that they recommend the best shoe for your feet.  If you feel sore, try soaking in a bath with epsom salt, that helps.


  2. always stretch before and after you run. and since u just started slowly increase  your distance every time you run. soon you should be able to increase your speed. and when you breathe try and come up with a breathing pattern. and make sure you breathe deep and not take short little breaths.
