My running shoes always wear through very quickly on the inside of the shoe behind the heal. I mentioned this to the physical trainer at my gym, and he hadn't heard of this issue before. I suspect that I have narrow heals and have not had my shoes fitted properly, but I am curious to see if anyone else has had this issue. I am naturally more of a midfoot/forefoot striker (but a beginner runner - not any sort of skill!), and I wonder if that pressure does not cause slippage at the heal.
